John Muthuni Wambugu Mbiriri is a tea farmer and a founding member of the Nyeri Chai Farmer’s Association (NCFA).

After years of receiving unfair prices for their leaves, the NCFA fought in court for a higher price for their tea and won – raising the prices for every tea farmer in Kenya. It’s a remarkable achievement but John and the other members of the association aren’t yet done - they plan to keep fighting for fair prices and better working conditions.
